Suzuki Kizashi Review Australia

Do you need a mid-sized car with plenty of storage space and long-lasting chassis? If yes, then a Japanese company called Suzuki has something for you. Kizashi is a 4-door sedan, manufactured from 2009 to 2016 and is available in 4-5 trims. Visually, it comes in a strikingly handsome layout with a sufficiently roomy cabin. Its edgy design, the strengthened passenger compartment, and top-quality equipment are the primary reasons to buy it.

It guarantees to give a sportier ride. Suzuki Kizashi sport real appeal is its good buying value. Undoubtedly, the Suzuki has done a great job with the Kizashi. Well, you will not find it as gorgeous as the 2021 aerodynamic style but it has a decent design that is eye-catching. The highlight of this sedan is the generous standard features list to level up the comfort.

Suzuki Kizashi Engine:

The engine is not only powerful but brilliantly placed on the front under the protection of the reinforced hood. Available in FWD and 4WD, Suzuki Kizashi ensures smoothness and sharpness at the same time. Adding to your surprise, it also comes in the option of AWD based on the i-AWD. We can describe it as a driver-stimulated FWD mode.

AWD has its cons and pros. On one hand, the best way to save fuel is by opting for AWD. On the contrary, AWD being heavyweight slows down the speed and takes longer to reach the demanded acceleration.

Regardless of its driving system, it’s a soothing drive because of the well-laid motor dynamics and nimble handling. Its firm and lightweight steering, direct fuel injection, and taut ride make it a bit sportier in comparison to other midsize cars. On-road and off-road performance is incredibly stable with impressive cornering skills and not so exaggerated rolling body.

All models are fitted with responsive and adaptable suspension making the car easy to steer. Sharp steering with impressive traction is definitely a lovely combination. You would find the drive quite engaging especially in manual mode. Even on the gravel roads, the ride stays compliant offering excellent speed handling. The speed is balanced out with the use of an effective braking system.

Unfortunately, there is no choice of engines as every Suzuki Kizashi trim has a single inline-4, naturally-aspirated 2.4L petrol engine. It is powered with 138 kW with a torque of 230 Nm at 4000rpm. Overall Suzuki Kizashi Turbo is a practically acceptable torquey machinery.

The engine is mated with two options of transmissions: 6-speed manual and 6-speed CVT. Truly speaking, the manual gives a lighter throw to the gear-shifter but CVT functions so intensely. It handles the ride well in most of the road and traffic conditions. Both gearboxes keep a balance between low-down pull and highly revved tractability.

The use of certain mechanical technologies has made the car better in terms of fuel consumption and mileage. The fuel tank capacity of 63L is also not. The best part is that the engine shows compatibility with 91-octane fuel.

Suzuki Kizashi Design:

At a first glance, the sporting edging to the exterior lines will get your attention, right away. Suzuki Kizashi distinctive hard-steel and brilliantly planned chassis character set it apart. As far as the visibility is concerned, it is pretty good. Sometimes, its thick A-pillars might bug you by hindering the complete vision. The robust look is enhanced with the Kizashi either 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels, depending on the trim level.

Overall, the exterior is not clearly stylish but seems modern and nice-looking. So, we can say the Kizashi is a well-built sedan with a rock-hard and compacted reputation. Every feature appears to be at its right place inside the cabin. Sufficient space, comfortable front seats, accommodating luggage capacity, and comfortable rear legroom define Suzuki Kizashi. The seating position is ideal.

The latest AWD features soft and comfortable leather-trimmed front seats which are electrically modifiable and also have a heating function. The real gem is its 425-watt audio setup. The plastic-loaded lining is the downfall. Although it is high-quality but fails to give a premium feel. The value of the dashboard plastics made in grain patterns is surprisingly good. The floor is also nicely designed and comes in flat.
