Hyundai Venue Review Australia

The Hyundai Venue is one of the smallest SUVs that arrived in Australia in 2019. It became the brand’s entry-level proposition and replaced the sedan and the Accent light car hatch as soon as it arrived.

In this review, we’re going to talk about Hyundai’s entry-level SUV that is now Hyundai’s most affordable new car in Australia. This Hyundai Venue review will provide you with an opportunity to examine how much value it has to offer. Also, we will see what features Hyundai has given to the Hyundai Venue Elite or Hyundai Venue in order to entice buyers. Given that, we noticed that the entry-level Hyundai Venue has all the standard features that a good SUV should have. In addition, it also has Hyundai’s safety suite and some tech upgrades as well.

Hyundai Venue engine:

Hyundai Venue Engine

The Hyundai Venue comes with a  naturally-aspirated 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine. This naturally-aspirated engine produces 90kW of power and 151 Nm of torque.

In addition, on the base and Active variants, it offers a choice between six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic transmission. Whereas Hyundai Venue Elite only comes with six-speed automatic transmission.

Hyundai Venue exterior:

Hyundai Venue Exterior

There were some mixed reactions regarding the exterior of the Hyundai Venue. For some, it is dorky, and for others, it is cute, but the body of the Hyundai Venue makes it stand out from the crowd. The exterior design and styling of this SUV are somewhat like the function-before-form type. It has sharp edges, boxy proportions and an upright silhouette that provides easy access to the interior.

The exterior of the Venue has the following measurements:

✓ 4 metres long

✓ 1.8 metres wide

✓ 1.6 metres tall

The lofty seating, upright pillars, and deep windows portray that the Hyundai Venue is shaped adequately for city commuting as well as urban driving. In addition, its hat-shaped design provides several other advantages.

Hyundai Venue Interior:

Hyundai Venue Interior

The interior of the Hyundai Venue has an easy entry and exit point. Inside you will get wide seats that are a bit flat, so they might lack lateral support. It also has a tilt or telescopic steering that has many adjustment options for a comfortable driving position.

The dash inside the Venue is  made up of solid plastic material but has many great features, including:

✓ Sizeable stand-alone touchscreen

✓ Pleasing symmetrical layout of the heater

✓ Symmetrical layout of vents

✓ Attractive three-spoke steering wheel

✓ Elegant analogue instrumentation dials

✓ Digital speedo

✓ Detailed audio/multimedia

✓ Vehicle info screen

Some other amazing internal features include:

✓ Ample ventilation

✓ Lots of storage

✓ Pleasant striped seat trim

✓ Confidence-boosting vision out

Most controls in the Hyundai Venue are present within easy reach. Inside, you also get USB-A and 12V sockets. These sockets are located at a place that is easy to access. Other amenities that are present on the inside include phone storage in the door armrests, overhead grab handles, small bottle holders and a single map pocket. There are no cup holders, central armrest air vents or even  USB charge ports on the rear end.

The feature that we loved the most was the Venue’s big, square boot. This boot measures about 355 litres, and it has a deep flat floor with two height options, a low loading lip, and you can access the interior using the folding backrests. Another unique feature of the Hyundai Venue is that the parcel shelf can be slotted behind the rear backrests if some oversized items are placed inside. In addition, there is a space-saver spare that is located below the load area. Overall, we can say that the inside of the Hyundai Venue is big, spacious and practical as well. The only thing that could have been better is that it should have been a little quieter.
