Ferrari F8 Review Australia

The 2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo is what every heart and head hopes and desires. It is precisely what is expected from a next-gen Gran Turismo Berlinetta from Maranello. Ferrari F8 is not only fast, thrilling, and emotionally arresting, but for its mid-rear-engined sports car breed, it also promises a new level of all-around goodness. The 2020 Ferrari F8 comes with balancing improvements in pace and ferocity.  It also incorporates a more accessible fun factor in a more evenly tempered package for regular usage. Read on to explore more about Ferrari F8!

Ferrari F8 Engine:

Ferrari F8’s engine is very much similar to the more expensive 488 Pista. Ferrari is modest on the details of what the F8 model shares with the 488 Pista. Still, it admits that the 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 is similar to Pista’s crankshaft. The 3.9 L twin-turbocharged V8 engine of the Ferrari F8 gives a power output of 720 PS (530 kW; 710 hp) at 7000 rpm and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque at 3250 rpm. This model is the most powerful V8-powered Ferrari produced to date.

Ferrari F8 Exterior:

The Ferrari F8 is a Sports car, so obviously, it looks exactly like one! It’s a 2-door Berlinetta body style. The car’s front characterises the S-Duct around which the entire front end has been redesigned. It has additional air intakes that are above the headlights. Side aerodynamic intakes complete the front. These intakes are integrated into the bumper’s shape and feature two aerodynamic side splitters in black. In order to channel the hot air and minimise the thermal interaction, radiator packs of Ferrari F8 are tilted towards the rear, using a flat undertray. The car also has quad tail lamps, which was last seen in the V8 lineage on the F430. At the bottom, it sports a louvred clear engine cover. This cover is made from lightweight Lexan, which pays homage to the F40.

Here are the Dimension of the Ferrari F8:

✓ Length             4,611 mm (181.5 in)

✓ Width              1,979 mm (77.9 in)

✓ Height             1,206 mm (47.5 in)

✓ Wheelbase      2,650 mm (104.3 in)

✓ Kerb weight      1,435 kg (3,164 lb)

Ferrari F8 Interior:

The interior of the Ferrari F8 Tributo doesn’t look all that new when compared to its predecessors. This is because the underpinnings of the car and the chassis of the F8 are precisely the same. Ferrari has kept the similar basic interior layout that was seen in the 458. However, there has been an update in the satellite navigation system and the hardware driving the screens. The screens now come with a crisper visual display. Unfortunately, the Apple CarPlay option is still a costly option at $6791.

If we examine the comfort and seating of the Ferrari F8, we can say that the standard seats in the F8 are excellent, but to make a visual impact, you really want the race seats. The steering wheel of the F8 is smaller than in the 458 and 488. However, the difference is slight; still, it creates a big difference when you grasp it. With the current era of smaller steering wheels, the Ferrari F8’s steering wheels are more natural in hand and more in tune.

The buttons are relatively flimsy and are in typical Italian fashion. They surround the dash for aircon, lights, and other features. The interior has an overwhelming sense and is far more modern and sophisticated than other rivals.

Ferrari F8 Tributo standard features:

Here are some of the standard equipment that the Ferrari F8 Tributo comes with:

✓ V8 engine

✓ Seven-speed rapid shifting transmission

✓ Basic sport seats

✓ A steering wheel

✓ Choice of Ferrari red paint (Rosso Corsa)

In addition to these, you also get:

✓ Excellent Magneride suspension system

✓ Carbon-ceramic brakes

✓ Painted 20-inch alloy wheels

Ferrari F8 Safety:

No one would ever dare to destroy a Ferrari, and If it is F8, it is nearly impossible! The low volume of these cars is the reason that the crash data of the Ferrari F8 is not available from Euro NCAP or ANCAP. However, many have seen the crashes and damages of 458 and 488, and they all anecdotally assure that Ferrari is a super-stiff chassis that will keep you safe if you run out of talent. Even so, the F8 Tributo has a lot of essential features that you have to option.

Ferrari complete advanced driver assistance package (priced at $14,660) offers:

✓ A front radar for active cruise

✓ Autonomous emergency braking

✓ A surround-view monitor camera

PROs:

✓ Ferrari F8 has excellent road performance

✓ It also has outstanding track performance

✓ The F8 is Super comfortable and stylish at the same time

✓ Behind the wheels, this sports car inspires enormous confidence

CONs:

✓ The F8 sounds like a dying Dyson

✓ Ferrari should have incorporated lots of options as standard features

✓ The third update to the 458 chassis is also its downside

Final verdict:

Our final verdict to describe the Ferrari F8 Tributo is hard without using hyperbole. Coming towards the serious part, we can say that this is a very high-speed car that will make anyone look like a superhero on track and a professional on the road. It is more than comfortable for daily usage, and in addition, it feels right at home on the way. The only downfall is that Its interior is a little old-fashioned and requires many options to make it right. All things aside, it is hard not to fall in love with the Ferrari F8. If you decide upon one, do not forget to get its whole history because it is always a good idea to make an informed decision no matter which car it is.
